Friday around 1 am, Nisbet and two of his friends were on the patio at the Lambton College pub, The Lion’s Den when shots were fired. The 20-year-old Sarnia man was pronounced dead at Bluewater Health. His two friends had non-life threatening injuries.

Saturday morning, Sarnia Police, working with London Police went to two homes, one on Boullee Street and the other on Stonehenge Place. One man was arrested and a vehicle believed to be involved in the shooting was seized.

Another man is still at large.

Police say about two hours before Nisbet’s murder, there was a call to a bar on Exmouth Street. There was a report of two men with one or possibly two guns. The front door glass had been broken.

The two people fled before police arrived, but the caller did give police a licence plate number.

Officers arrived and found someone who had fled the bar on foot.  He was arrested hiding behind a dumpster. Police allege he was the person who broke the window.

It seemed police then ran into a dead end; the licence number wasn’t accurate and no names were provided to police to help them identify the two people who had the gun.

Police did stop a car in the area, but it was not the suspects. They also determined the man in custody for the incident on Exmouth Street was not involved in the shooting.

After interviewing witnesses at the Lambton College pub, police determined two men were directly involved in the homicide, a shooter and an accomplice.

Late Friday (April 10) morning, police arrested two women who were with the men at the pub. They are not believed to be involved with the shooting and were released unconditionally.

Saturday, Sarnia police obtained search warrants for two London homes which were executed with the help of London Police. Officers seized the vehicle used in the shooting and found the man they believe to be the accomplice in one of the homes.

Oudom Richard Bunn

He was arrested and taken back to Sarnia. He will be held for a video bail hearing Sunday (April 12.)

Oudom Richard Bun, 23, of Stonehenge Place in London has been charged with: one count of second degree murder and two counts of attempted murder.

Police have a warrant out for the arrest of Kyaw Chin Doe, 24, of Boullee Street in London. He’s also facing charges of second degree murder and two counts of attempted murder as well as possession of a firearm.

Kyaw Chin Doe

Police believe Doe went into hiding shortly after the murder to evade police. Officials say he is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.

The suspect is not believed to be in the Sarnia area and they allege Doe has ties to criminal elements in both western and northern Ontario who may be helping him.

Anyone with any information about Doe is asked to call 9-1-1.
