If you’re heading across the Bluewater Bridge Thursday and you see a lot of emergency vehicles, don’t be alarmed.
Bluewater Association for Safety, Environment, and Sustainability, also known as BASES, is holding a training exercise between 9 and 11:30 am Thursday in Point Edward.
Officials say the training exercise will involve Sarnia-Lambton mutual aid partners, industry response teams, fire services, and emergency responders from across the region. As part of the exercise, marine response training will be conducted on the St. Clair River, with Imperial, Suncor, and Shell participating.
It is designed to test emergency response plans, communications, coordination, and equipment in a controlled training environment.
