Body of missing Pinery Park rafter recovered

The body of the person who disappeared after a rafting accident in Pinery Park on the Victoria Day weekend has been recovered.
May 18 around 3 pm, the OPP, Lambton Shores Fire and EMS were called to the beach area after five people were thrown into the water when a raft capsided. Two people swam to shore, two others were rescued. But one of the rafters has been missing since then.
Friday, police and Lambton Shores Fire were called to Port Franks area for a report of a body in the waters near the shoreline. The emergency responders recovered the man, and with the help of the Coroner’s office and Ontario Forensic Pathology Service, were able to identify the person as a 22-year-old from Nepal.
