The next stop on the junior hockey path for Hayden Duncan will be Drayton Valley, Alberta.
The Alvinston goaltender has signed with the Alberta Junior Hockey League’s Thunder for the coming campaign. Drayton Valley is in oil country, southwest of Edmonton.
The 20-year-old goaltender won 19 games split between three teams in the OJHL last season. Prior to that, he won 31 games over parts of three seasons with the Strathroy Rockets.
Duncan began his minor hockey career with the East Lambton Eagles organization before moving up to play AAA hockey with both the Lambton Jr. Sting and the Elgin Middlesex Canucks.
He was a sixth-round pick by the Ottawa 67’s in 2022.
