Heat doesn’t dampen Canada Day enthusiasm in Alvinston

The Brooke-Alvinston-Inwood Community Centre was full of Canada Day spirit as the community gather to mark the country’s 159th birthday.

The annual Kids-3-On-3 Ball Hockey tournament moved outdoors this year in Alvinston. The event is normally held inside the arena, but this year the arena floor is being replaced.

There were free hotdogs for everyone at lunch, with a side of snow cones and the Brooke Fire Service helped the kids stay cool with a giant, soapy slip and slide.
