Four people have been arrested after a drug trafficking investigation that started in May and ended with a traffic stop in Lambton Shores July 21.

Anishinabek Police Service officers stopped a vehicle in Lambton Shores July 21. Police searched the vehicle and found seven grams of fentanyl and 51 hydromorphone tables.

A 57-year-old man and 43 year-old woman, both from Kettle and Stony Point First Nation, have been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking. He’s been released on bail.

Police say the investigation led to the identification of a home in Sarnia. July 22, Anishinabek Police, with the Sarnia Police Service’s Emergency Response Team and Canine Unit, went to the home and seized:

• 97 g suspected fentanyl
• 101 g suspected cocaine
• 182 x codeine pills
• 1 g suspected methamphetamine
• 2 x cellphones
• 53 x .22 calibre rounds

A 54-year-old Sarnia man faces nine charges including four trafficking charges. A 49-year-old Sarnia man also faces four trafficking charges and a charge of careless use of a fire arm. Both have been released to appear in court at a later date.
