Wranglers win second straight silver at ORSA provincials

The Wyoming Wranglers came up just short in the Ontario Rural Softball Association (ORSA) 15U girls’ provincials last weekend.
They lost to Shakespeare in the final.
After an opening round loss to Innerkip, the Wranglers won three straight games to reach the championship contest.
Nadia Eagan had a 10-RBI performance, including a grand slam home run, in a 31-7 win over Duoro and Sienna Eagan had a pair of hits and five RBI in a 19-3 win over Alvinston in the quarterfinals. In the semi-final contest, Lily Hamil threw six strong innings and Ryleigh Williams went yard twice in a 10-3 win over Innerkip.
The previous weekend, the Wrangler girls’ 13U squad also won silver at its ORSA provincial tournament in Sweaburg beating Dutton and Ancaster to reach the final against the host team.
Both Wyoming teams were applauded for their determination, heart and teamwork.
