Lambton Jr. Sting grads Jack Nesbitt and Cam Reid are among 32 players in Windsor this week for the Hockey Canada Summer Showcase.
It’s the first look at potential players in advance of the World Junior Hockey Championships in Alberta beginning on Boxing Day.
The first round draft choices of Philadelphia and Nashville respectively, will be teammates at the University of Michigan this coming season.
“This is an important opportunity for our staff to evaluate a talented group of players against top international competition while continuing to build our identity as a team,” said national team general manager and former Sting executive Alan Miller in a prepared statement.
Team Canada skates against Sweden July 29, take on Finland on July 30 and go head-to-head with Team USA on August 1.
