Man airlifted to London hospital after St. Clair Township accident

Lambton OPP say one man has life-threatening injuries after a crash on the St. Clair Parkway in Port Lambton.

Saturday, around 8:30 pm, OPP, firefighters and paramedics were called to the St. Clair Parkway between West French Line and West Holt line for a motorcycle crash. Air Ornge was called in to take the 57-year-old man to Victoria Hospital in London with what police said were life-threatening injuries.

The parkway was closed for seven hours as police investigated. Officers are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash or who have dash cam video to contact Lambton OPP or Crime Stoppers.

Over 1,800 traffic charges laid on long weekend in southwestern Ontario

The Independent West Region OPP officers laid 1,815 charges following 2,107 traffic stops across the region during the Civic Holiday long weekend traffic campaign. The campaign focused on speeding, failure to wear a seatbelt, distracted driving and impaired driving.  Police also enforced Ontario’s Move Over Law which gives emergency responders the space they need conduct other work on the roadside.

Toronto marathon swimmer crosses Lake Huron landing in Ipperwash
