A graduate of the Lambton Jr. Sting and a longtime member of the Sarnia Sting is returning to the OHL club.

Jordan Hill has been named a player development and performance consultant with the team. He will work alongside existing development coach and Vegas Golden Knights Skills Coach Scott Jones to deliver year-round player development and skill planning, said the team in a release this week.

“Jordan’s experience working with NHL and elite-level players, combined with his passion for player development, will be an incredible asset to our players and coaching staff,” said Sting GM Dylan Seca in a prepared statement.

Hill, 37, played a total of 219 games in the OHL with his hometown Sting and the Saginaw Spirit. He was captain of the Sting for the 2009-10 season before being traded to the mid-Michigan squad.

After his junior playing career, he went to play nearly 400 professional games in the American Hockey League and the ECHL. Following his retirement as a player, he joined the coaching staff of the Owen Sound Attack in 2017 remaining there until 2023. Hill works as a hockey player development coach with the Oates Sports Group,

Among other recent additions by the Sting, Alvinston Killer Bees goalie Joe Raaymakers has been appointed as assistant goalie coach working with Rob Beatty and on the scouting side, Jason Brooks has been promoted to a special
advisor expanding his responsibilities to support hockey operations and all scouting initiatives.

Raaymakers has the third most career goaltending wins in the OHL split between the Soo Greyhounds and London Knights and Brooks was part of a championship team with the Guelph Storm in 2004.
