Warwick launches local Sports Wall of Fame

The Township of Warwick is creating a new initiative to recognize and celebrate individuals, teams, and community builders who have made lasting contributions to the township’s sporting legacy.
“Warwick Township has a proud sporting history built by athletes, teams, coaches, volunteers, and community supporters who have dedicated countless hours to sport and recreation,” said Parks and Recreation Manager, Ryan Chamney in a recent news release.
“This initiative will help preserve these stories and ensure they continue to inspire current and future generations.”
Warwick Mayor Todd Case says the wall will highlight individuals whose leadership, volunteerism, and contributions have supported the growth of local sport and recreation.
Inductees’ will be recognized with an unveiling event each year at the East Lambton Community Complex featuring a photo and brief description of their accomplishments.
Nominations for the inaugural class are being accepted until Oct. 1.
Nomination forms, eligibility requirements and selection criteria is available on the township website.
