St. Clair Township fire officials say an appliance likely started a fire in a home near Brigden.
Around 2:30 am Saturday, Sept. 12, firefighters from Bridgen, Courtright, Wilkesport and Becher were called to a home on Oil Springs Line. No one was home at the time.
Firefighters fought the blaze and were on the scene until 9:15 the next morning. There were no injuries.
Fire Chief Richard Boyes says in a news release that about $250,000 damage was done and the fire was likely started by a small electric appliance.
