Police search for witness after pedestrian killed on Walpole Island First Nation

Walpole Island Police and Lambton OPP are looking for witnesses after a pedestrian was struck and killed on the island.
Saturday night, around 11:20 pm, police were called to Chiefs Road between Tecumseh and Austin road for a collision involving an SUV and a person.
A 48-year-old Walpole Island resident was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the collision or who has information about the crash, including dash cam footage from the area around the time of the collision to call Walpole Island Police at 1-888-310-1122.
