Watford mourns loss of long-time firefighter

Milner served the Watford Fire Service for 60 years

Keith Milner is being remembered for his life-long commitment to his community, family and friends.
Milner had served as a Watford firefighter for 55 years and the caretaker of the Watford fire hall for another five years before his retirement from the department. He passed away Saturday.
In a social media post, officials with the Warwick Township Fire Service praised Milner’s dedication saying in the 55 years as an active firefighter “Keith only missed attending practice twice. We believe that must be a record in the Ontario fire service.”
Milner worked as a GM Mechanic for more than 50 years, and in retirement according to family who added in his obituary “he found joy in caring for his vegetable gardens and always keeping treats and juice for his great-grandchildren.”
Milner was 87.
