Dream Home lottery to support CEEH redevelopment

September 17, 2026

The Independent

The Bluewater Health Foundation have kicked off this year’s Dream Home Lottery.

The funds raised by the lottery for a fully-furnished $1.9 million home in Camlachie will help support the $20 million redevelopment of Charlotte Eleanor Englehart Hospital’s emergency department and to help purchase diagnostic imaging equipment.

In its 32-year history, the lottery has raised $11 million for local health care needs.

“This lottery has been part of our community for more than three decades, and year after year, we are
amazed by the generosity and enthusiasm of our supporters,” says Kathy Alexander, Executive Director,
Bluewater Health Foundation in a news release. “While there are some incredible prizes to be won, every ticket
purchased is ultimately an investment in local health care.”

The home, built by Iacobelli Construction, is in Errol Woods. The grand prize winner can also accept $1 million in place of the home.

Tickets are available now online and through the Bluewater Health Foundation office. Tours of the home start on Oct. 3 from 1 to 4pm and on weekends until the draw in February.
