Van Gorp closing in on triple digits in OHL scoring

October 1, 2026

Barry Wright/The Independent

The next point for Evan Van Gorp with the London Knights will be a significant one.

The Watford product has 99 career regular season points in the OHL after a two-goal performance for the Knights in a 7-4 home ice win over Owen Sound Friday night.

He also had a plus four rating in the victory.

London, now 3-0, put the game away with five tallies in the second period, including three in a span of just over two minutes.

Former Sting forward Ryan Brown had three assists in his first game back from the Dallas Stars training camp.

The Knights made another addition to their lineup last Thursday, signing Vegas Golden Knights first-round pick Juho Piiparinen.

The Finnish defenceman recorded three assists in 29 games in the top Finnish pro league last season. He also represented his country at the World U18 Hockey Championship and the World Junior Championship.

That signing brought London over the import limit which forced them to trade their 2026 first round import selection to Kitchener late last week. Luca Santala fetched several draft picks in return.

The Knights have a pair of home games this weekend.

They entertain North Bay on Friday night at 7 p.m. at Canada Life Place. Flint is at London on Sunday afternoon at 2 pm.
