New cycling tour to dip into Warwick this summer

LCCVI students play some air hockey at the Greenwood Recreation Centre Tuesday in an event leading up to the announcement on whether Petrolia will get to vie for the title of Hockeyville.

Nick Salaris is hoping Petrolia will show its hockey spirit this weekend as the Petrolia Minor Hockey Association waits to find out if the town will vie for the title of Hockeytown. The LCCVI Lady Lancers are SWOSSA champions. The Lancers beat General Amherst 2-1 in overtime on a goal scored by Jordyn Butler at the Greenwood Recreation Centre Monday. The team heads to OFSSA March 7th. More details of the game and player reaction in the March 3rd edition of The Independent.
