The Petrolia Rep Midgets are on the way to the International Silver Stick  after beating West London 5-2 before a standing-room only, hometown crowd.

The Petrolia Oilers secured a place in the New Year’s Day final of the Earl Trevail Memorial Silver Stick B Division Final with a convincing 4-0 victory over Ingersoll Monday.

Thursday night, The West London Hawks kept pace with Petrolia in the first, ending the period tied at one.

The Oilers scored two in the second. West London came out strong in the third, scoring first with 12:14 left in the period to come close at 3-2. But Petrolia scored on the power play with 8:28 left and again with just over two minutes to play to keep the game out of reach.

Zach Vanderwal had two goals and two assists and Issac McLean added a goal and an assist for the Oilers in the championship game.

The Petrolia Reps now prepare for the International Silver Stick.
