March 2, 2015
You have a chance to get a glimpse of some Canadian Heros.
It’s An Honour – a traveling exhibtit about famous Canadians – will be at the parking lot at Town Hall in Petrolia March 2 and 3.
The exhibit is traveling throughout Ontario from January to April to showcase the stories of great Canadians who have been recognized for the extraordinary achievements with national honours.
Students and residents visiting the school will be able catch a glimpse of insignia and medals, discover the unique stories of many honours recipients and watch a hologram message from former Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield.
You can also learn more on the role and responsibilities of the Governor General of Canada and how to nominate deserving individuals from their community for national honours. It is accessible
The exhibit was supposed to be held at LCCVI but because the building is closed from the flooding, the event was moved to Town Hall. The exhibit will be open to the public from 10am to 5 pm both days.
