Public health looking for people who may have been exposed to Lambton’s third measles case

King Street building sold: remains a medical office
March 16, 2015
The King Street Medical Centre has been sold.
The Town of Petrolia declared the former Central Lambton Family Health Team building surplus in January after the majority of the doctors moved to a new facility on Glenview Drive.
At the time, the town considered asking for public bids for the property. But Chief Administrative Officer Manny Baron says once the word got out the building was up for sale, they had a number of serious, unsolicited inquires.
“We had a number of interested parties,” says McCharles.
Monday, council accepted an offer from Sarnia pharmacist Richard Kelch for the building for $310,000.
“I believe he’s going to keep the building medical oriented,” says McCharles noting Lambton Chiropractic and Dr. MacDonald will remain in the building.
But the mayor adds the building is zoned so that any office could locate there.
The $310,000 will go into the town’s general revenue fund and will be used in the 2015 budget year.
