Gladu to be absent from election campaign for medical issue

Sarnia-Lambton Conservative Candidate Marilyn Gladu will step away from the campaign trail for medical reasons.
Her campaign manager, Grant Dingwall, issued a statement late Thursday afternoon saying Gladu was to have minor surgery Friday. “Due to an ongoing personal medical issue, Marilyn will be having minor surgery …(Friday) and will be taking several days off the campaign to recover.” Dingwall did not comment on the nature of the medical issue.
Dingwall says Gladu’s campaign appearances will be cancelled until further notice but operations in the office and the campaign continues “as normal until Marilyn has fully recovered.”

Kassandra Rombouts of LCCVI carded a 78 this week and finished second in the open girls’ division at the SWOSSA high school golf championship at Willow Ridge in Blenheim. Yarko Zelecnhuk won the boys’ singles banner at the LKSSAA north division tennis tournament this week. The LCCVI student will now advance to the overall LK championship tournament next Tuesday in Chatham.
