RPN Lori McKinlay and her colleagues in the ambulatory care unit at Charlotte Eleanor Engelhart Hospital in Petrolia don’t have to do as much running around as before. The unit is now using a new mobile storage unit, which holds everything hospital staff might need in any situation. It was purchased with the proceeds from the 2015 edition of Shoppe Like Charlotte. McKinlay says until now, medical personnel would have to have to go back and forth to collect everything needed. Linda Schaefer, the manager of CEEH, who was on hand when Shoppe Like Charlotte Spokesperson Denise Thibeault was on had to look at the donation, says the unit is used every day. “It’s an honour to give you something that is needed,” she told hospital staff and foundation member Owen Byers. “It makes our efforts all worthwhile.”
