Oil City’s Courtney Sinclair was named to the all-star team at the Canadian women’s U21 Fast Pitch Championships on PEI.
The LCCVI grad and former Enniskillen Express standout hit .455 over nine games with two doubles, a triple and five RBI for Team Ontario. She also scored eight runs.
After wins over Nova Scotia and the host club in the playoffs, Ontario lost 1-0 to Alberta in an elimination game last Saturday.
Meantime, Sinclair’s younger sister, Cami, and another Express alumni, Jordyn Butler, are competing this week with the Guelph Gators at the Canadian women’s U18 Fast Pitch Championships, also on PEI. The tournament was ongoing as of press time.
