Bluewater Health is setting up a COVID-19 Assessment Centre in Petrolia.

It’s in the parking lot of the Central Lambton Family Health Team.

When Bluewater Health was first given permission to set up a site in Sarnia, officials said it was their goal to get a second site in Petrolia.

“Now that we can ramp up our testing, we are happy to be rolling out … the site. It’s important to note that the speed with which we are able to do this, to turn these around, is a testament to the bench strength of our community associates,” said Mike Lapaine, President and CEO of Bluewater Health in a news release.

The Petrolia/North Enniskillen Fire Department and the SORT team (Support Operations Response Team) helped to set up the centre.

People with symptoms of the novel coronavirus should consult their doctor to be referred to the testing site.
