New wellness centre gets another financial boost

December 29, 2020

The new Plympton-Wyoming Wellness Centre is getting another financial boost – this time from the Wyoming Community Foundation.

The town announced the foundation would provide $25,000 over three years to help remodel the new health and wellness centre.

The foundation has given more than $450,000 since 2003 to projects in Wyoming and says it is happy to contribute to this new project.

The wellness centre came about after TD Canada Trust gave its former bank to the town. Remodelling has been ongoing since November and one of the COVID-19 testing sites was moved from Petrolia to the new Wyoming site.

The foundation is the third community group to commit $25,000 to the operation and remodeling of the site.
