Lambton registers 127 people COVID-19 positive in one week

Nineteen new cases Tuesday

There have been 127 people test positive for COVID-19 in Lambton in just one week.

This after public health figures released Tuesday show 19 more people tested positive and there are now 152 people are sick (active cases) with the virus – up 9 from Monday. Ten people have recovered.

There are 12 outbreaks – 10 in workplaces, one in a long term care home – Vision in Sarnia – one at Great Lakes Secondary School.

The details of those outbreaks are unclear at this time as public health has yet to release detailed information about the cases.

This morning, Ret. General Rick Hillier will be updating the province’s roll out of the COVID-19 vaccines. Doctors across the province questioned why the province had stopped immunizing people over Christmas. The province has 90,000 doses of the vaccine but only 11,000 have been used so far.
