The storm that blew through Central Lambton Saturday morning has caused a number of power outages.

Hydro One says there are six outages in the region with nearly 4,000 people without power.

In Oil City, North Enniskillen/Oil Spring firefighters were called to Main Street between Rose and Thistle after a branch landed on a hydro wire and started a fire.

Around 12:30 pm, firefighters were still on the scene awaiting the arrival of hydro crews to fix the problem.

Hydro One says the outages are likely to be fixed sometime after 3pm.

Bluewater Power also reports an outage in Alvinston where about 80 homes are without power after a lightening strike. Bluewater Power expects the outage to be repaired by 6pm.
