First polls in Brooke-Alvinston show a tight mayoral race

Incumbent Dave Ferguson and his challenger Jamie Armstrong – a councillor who challenged him for the top job are in a virtual heat as the first polls are released in Brooke-Alvinston.
Armstrong leads by just one vote with about seven per cent of the vote from one poll.
Brooke-Alvinston’s results are likely to be among the last. They vote by mail in ballot which are hand counted.
Petrolia- which has used electronic voting – is also still waiting for results.
