Three arrested in Lambton after stolen property recovered

Lambton OPP are giving few details, but officials say three people face dozens of charges after $240,000 in stolen items were recovered.

Nearly a month ago, the OPP concluded a stolen property investigation arresting three people in Petrolia and laying 86 charges according to OPP Spokesperson Const. Jamie Bydeley in a news release.

Nineteen trailers and a utility vehicle were recovered valued at $240,000.

The three arrested have been charged with trafficking in stolen goods, using/dealing in forged documents, making forged documents, destroying vehicle identification numbers and fraudulent concealment.

Police haven’t named the three saying they’re protecting the integrity of their investigation .

All three were released from custody and will be in court “at a later date” according to the news release issued 27 days after the arrests were made.
