Snow squall warning for East Lambton into Friday evenin

Snow squall warning in effect for:

  • Watford – Pinery Park – Eastern Lambton County

Snow squalls are occurring. Under the snow squall bands, visibilities will be significantly reduced due to the heavy snow combined with blowing snow, and snow will quickly accumulate.

Significantly reduced visibility in heavy snow and blowing snow.
Local snowfall accumulations of 10 to 20 cm. Through this evening.

Snow squalls off Lake Huron will continue through this evening. Heavy snow combined with northwesterly winds gusting 50 to 60 km/h could produce near-zero visibility at times. Conditions are expected to improve this evening as snowfall intensity and winds gradually diminish.

Snow squalls cause weather conditions to vary considerably; changes from clear skies to heavy snow within just a few kilometres are common. Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.
