The Mooretown Flags peppered the Wallaceburg cage with 68 shots in a 7-1 win over the Thunderhawks in PJHL action Wednesday night in Wallaceburg.
It could have been worse as Mooretown only scored once on 12 power play opportunities.
Gavin Black led the winners with two goals and Brody Genyn had a goal and two assists. Joey Edlington and Masen Flett both had a goal and an assist with Tristian Konrad and Ryan Vidler adding the others. Matthew Anderson had two assists.
John Chartrand was only forced to make 17 saves for the goaltending victory.
Mooretown is now 19-16-1 and in fifth place in the Stobbs Division. They are seven points behind Blenheim for fourth place and have three games in hand.
The Flags take on the Kings in Dresden Friday at 7:30 pm.
