Lucky 13 as Killer Bees blast Orangville

For the second time in two weeks, the Alvinston Killer Bees have put up a baker’s dozen in goals on home ice.

The Bees downed Orangeville, 13-1 on Saturday.

James McEwan led the winners with four goals and two assists. He’s now fourth in league scoring with 34 points in 13 games.

Rylan Bowers and Aidan Preuter both added two goals and three assists, Carson Perry had a goal and four helpers and Caden Faulkner registered five assists.

Josh Jamieson, Cam Rombouts, Michael McArthur and Ethan Lamoureaux also scored for Alvinston. Josh Tigwell, Bayly Fryfogle and Theo Hill all had two assists.

Nolan DeKoning made 27 saves in the Bees cage.

Alvinston is now 9-5-1 on the season and in sixth place in the standings. The Bees are preparing for round two of the battle of Lambton County as they’ll take on the Squires in Petrolia Friday night at Greenwood at 8:30.
