Alvinston takes game three in Petrolia

The Alvinston Killer Bees are in the driver’s seat after a 5-2 win over the Petrolia Squires in the Battle of Lambton.

James McEwan, Brennan Feasey, and Rylan Bowers scored for the Killer Bees in the first period before Adam Arsenault put the Squires on the board. Franco Sproverio scored with 14 seconds left in the first to give the Bees a 4-1 lead.

It would stay that way until the third when Feasey scored his second of the night midway through the period.

TJ Helps scored for Petrolia in the dying minutes of the game.

The Killer Bees now lead the series 2-1 and could advance to round two of the Western Ontario Super Hockey League playoffs with a win Saturday in Alvinston. Game time is 6:30 pm.
