Lambton Shores sends ‘powerful message of solidarity’ during Pride Month
June 3, 2024
Lambton Shores is marking Pride month, flying the Pride flags at local municipal buildings sending what officials say is a “powerful message of solidarity and acceptance to all its residents.”
The community held a brief ceremony at the municipal office in Port Franks this morning.
In a news release, Kathy Bressette, of the North Lambton Community Health Centre, and Crystal Fach of Diversity Ed said “
This Pride flag raising is about more than just symbolism; it’s about creating a sense of belonging for every member of our community. Our youth need to know that they are seen, heard, and supported here. By embracing diversity, we are building a stronger, more inclusive community for generations to come.”
