Two arrested in raids on Wilkesport Line and Wallaceburg

A St. Clair Township man is facing 19 drug and gun charges after OPP raided a home on Wilkesport Line.

The arrest was made as police searched two homes Thursday.

Lambton OPP along with officers from Essex and Elgin-Middlesex OPP Community Street Crime Units and West Region OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit, Emergency Response Team, Canine Unit and Chatham-Kent Police Service Intelligence Unit went into homes on Wilkesport Line in St. Clair Township and on Wills Street in Wallaceburg with search warrants. They found drugs, cash, stolen vehicles and guns valued at more than $64,000.

Jonathan Clark, 35, of St. Clair Township faces 19 charges including seven counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order and possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking.

Tashia Houle, 39, of Wallaceburg also faces a charge of possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking and three weapons charges.

Both are being held pending a bail hearing.

OPP say the investigation continues.

THE FULL LIST OF CHARGES

Jonathan CLARK, 35 years of age from St Clair Township has been charged with:

· Possession of Firearm or Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order (7 Counts)

· Operation While Prohibited under the Criminal Code

· Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 – in Canada

· Careless storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited device or ammunition (2 Counts)

· Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm (3 Counts)

· Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm (2 Counts)

· Possession of loaded prohibited or restricted firearm

· Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking-Methamphetamine

Tashia HOULE, 39 years old age from Wallaceburg has been charged with:

· Careless storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited device or ammunition

· Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm

· Possession of loaded prohibited or restricted firearm

· Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking- Methamphetamine
