Petrolia’s Jaques scores in PJHL All-Star game

Andrew Jaques had a goal in the final minutes of the PJHL West All-Star Game, but it wasn’t enough for the Yeck Division.

The Stobbs division took the contest, held at the Ken Houston Memorial Agricultural Arena, 8-5 Saturday night. It was part of a day-long celebration of hockey in Dresden.

Jaques, from the Petrolia Flyers, scored with less than three minutes left in the third. His teammate, Mateo Craievich had an assist on the Yeck division’s third goal in the second.

Vito Alfano of the Wheatley Omstead Sharks had three goals and three assists and Trevor Laure of the Lakeshore Canadians had two goals and three assist for the Stobbs Division.

Donovan Appleford had one goal and two assists for the Yeck Division on the night.
