About 200 pros are headed to Alvinston this weekend for the sixth annual Alvinston Pro Rodeo.
The Brooke-Alvinston-Watford Fair Board started the event in 2019 after local rodeo pros Tyler Foster and Rod Weese were tearing up the world rodeo championships. Foster had won the International Professional Rodeo Association World Champion Steer Wrestler and Weese won the International Finals Rodeo Champion Steer Wrestler.
Over 200 professional cowboys and cowgirls from Canada, the US, Brazil and Australia will be competing for the top prices over the weekend. The event will also feature plenty of Lambton County riders.
The gates open Friday and Saturday at 5 pm for the show at 7 pm. And Fathers’ Day, the gates open at noon for a 2 pm show.
