The Ministry of Labour is saying little about the death of a worker at a Forest greenhouse.
Lambton OPP, paramedics and Forest firefighters were called to Douglas Line outside the town limits Tuesday around 4 pm. They found a 38-year-old from London, who police said had been operating equipment, had life-threatening injuries. The worker was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police say the Ministry of Labour took over the investigation into the death.
While neither the OPP nor the ministry have said where the incident took place, Ministry of Labour vehicles could be seen leaving Roeland Plant Farms around 4 pm. Several vehicles were in the parking lot of the greenhouse complex.
MOL officials were releasing little information about their investigation saying only the “worker sustained a fatal injury when struck by equipment.”
