Seven face charges after police raids in Sarnia, Corunna

Seven people are facing 37 charges after a series of raids by police in Sarnia and Corunna.

Sarnia police spearheaded the investigation which spanned several months and targeted people trafficking cocaine in Sarnia.

Dec. 16, police from Sarnia, Lambton OPP, Chatham-Kent, St. Thomas and Windsor, armed with search warrants went into six homes, including two in St. Clair Township, simultatiously in the early morning hours.

Police found 3,419.80 grams of cocaine ranging from 94 per cent to 98 per cent in purity, about $6,300 in cash, seven weapons, ammunition, drug packaging, scales and cellphones.

Police estimate the cocaine seized has a street value of $410,376.

Seven people were charged and face a total of 37 charges including trafficking cocaine, possession for the purpose of trafficking and firearms charges.

Three of the seven have been released on bail to answer to charges later, four are being held in custody.

Charged are:

Donovan Bressette31, of Kettle and Stoney Point – held in custody

  • Trafficking in a Schedule 1 Substance (Cocaine)
  • Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance (Cocaine) for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.00
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.00

Shane Brown, 45, Sarnia – held in custody:

  • Trafficking in a Schedule 1 Substance (Cocaine)
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.00

Heather Marie Krasinkiewicz35, of Corunna, was released on an undertaking charged with the following:

  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm (7 counts)
  • Unsafe storage of a firearm
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.00

Joseph Maness, 31, of No Fixed Address – held in custody:

  • Trafficking in a Schedule 1 Substance (Cocaine) (2 Counts)
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.00 (2 Counts).

Kailyn Maracle, 28, of Sarnia, was released on an undertaking charged with the following:

  • Trafficking in a Schedule 1 Substance (Cocaine) (2 Counts)
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.00 (2 Counts)

Nicole Amber Warner, 38, of Sarnia, held in custody:  

  • Trafficking in a Schedule 1 Substance (Cocaine) (6 Counts)
  • Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance (Cocaine) for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.00 (2 Counts)
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.00 (4 Counts)

Jordan David Williams, 27, of Sarnia, released on bail:  

  • Trafficking in a Schedule 1 Substance (Cocaine)
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.00
