October 2, 2013
Petrolia has curb appeal.
That from the Sarnia-Lambton Chamber of Commerce’s Greenbelt Committee which has honoured the town with the 2013 “Put a Shine on Lambton” Award.
The award honours the town for their “people, plants and pride” and was presented in Sarnia Sept. 19.
“Our residents can take pride in working together for this achievement,” says Mayor John McCharles in a news release.
Town officials say countless hours of volunteer and staff time are focused on keeping Petrolia beautiful each year. “Without a supportive community, volunteers, the Petrolia in Bloom committee and our parks department, our parks, gardens and planters would not be as stunning as they are each season,” adds Laurissa Ellsworth, manager of town marketing.
