An Enniskillen Township teacher is the Lambton County Warden’s Citizen of the Month.

Cathy Johnson has been a coach at North Lambton Secondary School for 29 years leading the volleyball, soccer, girls’ hockey, cross country and track and field teams.

Johnson has also coached three adult and two student dragon boat teams. She’s also been active in minor hockey with the Alvinston Flyers.

“Cathy has dedicated most of her adult life to the development of local athletes and the functioning of local athletic associations,” says County of Lambton Warden Todd Case.  “Her quiet and humble commitment to her community is exemplary.”

“It is very humbling to be selected for this award, especially when I see firsthand so many dedicated coaches and volunteers within our schools and our community,” says Johnson.  “I enjoy the experience of coaching as I see the many benefits it provides for our youth not just now, but in the future as they become leaders in our communities, and our future volunteers”
