Emily Hinds and Amber Smith were part of contingent of Mothers Against Drunk Driving volunteers out in force in Lambton County this weekend. The pair were collecting a voluntary toll for the group at Coffee Lodge Saturday. Students from Lambton College’s Police Foundations program and the Fire Sciences helped to raise $12,200.

“We are extremely grateful for the overwhelming support displayed by local college students and the community,” said Chloe Dennis, president of MADD Sarnia/Lambton.  “It shows the public is behind what we do.

“Every penny contributed locally to MADD Sarnia/Lambton stays within our community to further the fight against impaired driving and to help the victims of this preventable crime.”
