Pinsonneault ‘disappointed’ Ford government reneges of promise of EA for Dresden dump

Community centre launches new website
December 2, 2013
It will soon be easier to find out about your favorite programs at the Oil Heritage District Community Centre.
Laurissa Ellsworth, manager of marketing in Petrolia, is putting the finishing touches on a new website for the centre. Currently, residents can access information about the complex through the town’s website, but Ellsworth says it can be “challenging to dig around and find the information.”
So a dedicated site is being developed. Ellsworth is using a lot of pictures to guide users to programs and services. “We hope to draw people in with photos of people in our community doing great things,” she says. It’s the same strategy Ellsworth used while redesigning the town website in March. That redesign produced a noticeable increase in traffic to the site.
“This should be a really good place for people to go for information,” Ellsworth told council Monday adding people may eventually be able to register for programs and pay for them on line. “For right now, it is a good information source.”
The site launches today, one day before the OHDCC opens registration for winter programs.
