Petrolia’s Farmers’ market a busy place Saturday
May 28, 2015
The Petrolia Farmer’s Market was buzzing with activity as it opened for the first time of the season Saturday. Fresh produce, breads, spring rolls, jams, pepperoni, and mini-donuts, made-to-order, were among the products on offer. The market’s Grand Opening celebration will take place May 30, beginning at 9 am. There will be a barbecue hosted by Mayor John McCharles and the marketing committee will unveil new tourism carts for the downtown area. Gardeners will also find something at the market as the town’s signature White Rose will be for sale along with perennials.
