Seasonal campers can stay overnight at local conservation areas in Lambton June 5

May 26, 2020

Campers rejoice – the St. Clair Region Conservation Authority is beginning to allow overnight camping again starting June 5.

“We are extremely excited to welcome our seasonal campers back to our campgrounds,” said Greg Wilcox, Manager of Conservation Areas at the SCRCA in a news release.

There will be changes include the closure of all swimming pools for the 2020 season and reduced recreational facilities.

“We are also keeping our washrooms and showers closed for the time being,” added Wilcox. “We ask that our campers use the washroom facilities in their trailers until further notice.”

Seasonal campers stay overnight at the A.W. Campbell, Lorne C. Henderson and Warwick Conservation Areas on June 5. An email will be sent in the coming days providing additional details on opening procedures and a new fee schedule that accounts for changes to the camping season.

Overnight camping is cancelled until at least June 10th. Overnight camping will open when permitted by the province and when all necessary safety precautions are in place.
