Heat warning issued for Lambton Tuesday and Wednesday

With the prediction of hot and humid weather for Tuesday, June 9 through Wednesday, June 10, Environment and Climate Change Canada is issuing a Heat Warning for Lambton County. In high temperatures and humidity, your body may not be able to cool properly which can lead to heat exhaustion or even heat stroke.

A heat warning is issued when two consecutive days are forecasted to have a daytime high temperature greater than or equal to 31⁰C and a nighttime temperature greater than or equal to 20⁰C or a humidex greater than 40.

Transport catches fire on 402 near bridge

A fire on Highway 402 near the Bluewater Bridge slowed traffic for a little while. Point Edward Fire and Rescue was called to a transport truck fire around 2:30 pm Tuesday.
