Child care centres reopen across Ontario Friday

Ontario is allowing all child care centres to reopen but there will be restrictions.
Premier Doug Ford and Education Minister Stephen Lecce made the announcement this afternoon saying it is necessary since more businesses are opened and families will need child care.
Child care centers will
- putting children and staff in groups of 10 or less day over day;
- all child care settings will be required to have a plan in place if a child, parent or staff member/provider is exposed to COVID-19;
- all staff and children must be screened prior to entry to the child care setting. Anyone feeling unwell must stay home;
- child care settings must keep daily records of all attendees in order to support contact tracing;
- hild care settings must be thoroughly cleaned before opening and frequently thereafter;
- only essential visitors are permitted entry ;
- Implementing drop-off and pick-up protocols in a way that facilitates physical distancing.
The province say the centres can start preparing for reopening but will have to meet the guidelines to get approval for reopening.
