Province allows larger groups in gym class

Up to 50 people will now be allowed in one room at local gyms.
Premier Doug Ford made the announcement today in Queen’s Park.
| The revised capacity limits are on a per room basis. They will apply to the gymnasiums, health clubs, community centres, multi-purpose facilities, arenas, exercise studios, yoga and dance studios and other fitness facilities that are able to follow the new guidance. It will be based on the amount of space available at the gym. The province is also giving $8 million to the Ontario Amateur Sport Fund to help the province’s sports organizations develop athletes and promote sports. |
