Teen charged in Petrolia variety store robbery

A teenager has been arrested in connection with a robbery at Circle K in Petrolia.
Lambton OPP, in a news release Tuesday at 6:30 pm, said a 15 year-old from Lambton County has been arrested.
Around 5:30 am Sept. 15, a manwaslked into the store “brandishing weapons.” Sources say it was a gun.
The thief took lottery tickets and a small amount of cash from the register.
He then fled.
Members of the OPP Tactical Unit and the Canine Unit were patrolling neighbourhoods in Petrolia’s downtown for hours after the robbery without finding the suspect.
The OPP did not say when the arrest occurred but say the 15 year-old faces charges of robbery using a firearm, wearing a disguise with intent and possession of an imitation weapon for a dangerous purpose. The teen has been released from custody to appear in court later.
