Another subdivision in the works for Watford

There is more new housing coming to Watford.
Warwick Township council recently approved a change to zoning rules which will see 19 homes built on the former site of the Watford Public School.
Phillip Keightley of MIG Engineering spoke for the numbered company planning to build the units.
He says they plan 19 homes fronting on Ontario, Erie and John Streets, the footprint of the former elementary school.
The builder needed the approval because the homes will be larger than the zoning bylaw requires.
Front lot widths will be between 15 and 18 meters compared to the current 20 meters in the neighbourhood.
During the public meeting, there was no one opposed to the move.
It’s not clear when the construction on the new units will begin.
